Padova, Musei Civici Eremitani

For the first time in Padua a monographic exhibition on Antonio Ligabue, (Zurich 1899 – Gualtieri 1965). The exhibition features over seventy paintings, ten works on paper and seven sculptures, and will offer a historical and critical interpretation of the work of the Italian-Swiss artist, still today one of the most interesting personalities of 20th-century art.

Giotto, the Scrovegni Chapel and the fourteenth century pictorial cycles: the candidacy of Padua for the “UNESCO World Heritage List”. The frescoes, preserved in the ancient city, are an extraordinary example of the creative genius of men, who is expressed in the works of Giotto and the artists who followed his teaching during the fourteenth century.
